Meet OC Board of Ed Area 3 Candidate Nancy Watkins AND CA 47th Congressional Dist. Candidate Max Ukropina

As our primary coverage continues, our first guest is Dr. Nancy Watkins, education professional and OC Board of Education candidate running for trustee in Area 3. This area includes: Fullerton, Brea, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Orange, Foothill Ranch, Villa Park, central and North Irvine, Portola Hills, Anaheim Hills, portions of Lake Forest and Tustin. This is 3 of 5 trustee races that are on the CA Primary ballot. In the second segment (approx. minute 32:59) is financial technology entrepreneur Max Ukropina, who is running as a Republican in CA 47th Congressional District. This district includes: Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Newport, and Seal Beach, and portions of Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, and Laguna Woods.

Meet OC Brd of Ed Trustee Candidate Martha Fluor AND Meet OC Brd of Ed Trustee Incumbent/Candidate Mari Barke

We continue CA Primary coverage as we hear from two candidates for the O C Board of Education Trustee Area 2, inside which KUCI resides. This election is the final; there will be no run-offs. So other reason why to hang close down ballot this June 7th primary election. The new boundaries for the OC Board of Education were redrawn in 2020 and include: Seal Beach, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa and parts of Newport Beach and portions of Irvine mainly south of I-405. The first candidate to speak is Martha Fluor, former Newport Mesa Unified School District Board Trustee, former president of the CA School Boards Association, and former special ed teacher. In the second segment (minute 34:02), Mari Barke, Chair of the OC Board of Education, affiliate of the CA Policy Center, and serves as OC coordinator for both Run Ben Run, and Carson America Inc.

Calling “All Of Us” Participants AND Meet OC Dept. of Education Area 3 Candidate Andy Thorburn

Dr. Hoda Anton-Culver, Director of Genetic Epidemiology Research Institute at UCI, offers very current commentary about the National Institutes of Health “All of Us” research program of which UCI is part.
