In advance of her 10/20 workshop at UCI for PhD students, is Kimberly Duong, UCI School of Engineering graduate, now employed as a water agency civil engineer. Meet OC Brd of Ed Trustee Candidate Martha Fluor AND Meet OC Brd of Ed Trustee Incumbent/Candidate Mari Barke

We continue CA Primary coverage as we hear from two candidates for the O C Board of Education Trustee Area 2, inside which KUCI resides. This election is the final; there will be no run-offs. So other reason why to hang close down ballot this June 7th primary election. The new boundaries for the OC Board of Education were redrawn in 2020 and include: Seal Beach, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa and parts of Newport Beach and portions of Irvine mainly south of I-405. The first candidate to speak is Martha Fluor, former Newport Mesa Unified School District Board Trustee, former president of the CA School Boards Association, and former special ed teacher. In the second segment (minute 34:02), Mari Barke, Chair of the OC Board of Education, affiliate of the CA Policy Center, and serves as OC coordinator for both Run Ben Run, and Carson America Inc.
