Refugees Welcome; Right Here, Right Now

For the whole hour we direct our wide-eyed questions to two local activists advancing the cause of refugees from around the world -Monica Curca and Rashad al-Dabbagh. They have founded the Refugees Welcome and demonstrate how their organization is a beautiful example of people, from all over the planet, coalescing on behalf of distressed, new arrivals. Events abound, starting with this Say. June 18. and continuing with “Ramdan Iftar with Refugees,”  June 26th in Anaheim. Information is available on the blog page of: http://refugeeswelcomeguide.org/.  Questions and reservations for upcoming events can be directed to monicabcura@gmail.com.
