Exercise Sciences at UCI

UCI Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and currently Interim Chancellor for Research, James Hicks speaks as director of the Exercise Medicine and Sports Sciences Initiative. He considers new paths of interdisciplinary teaching, research, and outreach about the benefits and impacts of exercise – from the biophysical to the cellular level. His appearance today, is a timely way of conveying the upcoming a hands on community event: “Moving Through Life Physical Activity and Health – Across Your Life,” on Sept. 12th, from 8:30 am til 5 pm, at the UC Irvine Student Center.
